In 2016 we carried out the first specialization course for LCA experts in the field of materials, of processes and plants in collaboration with the scientific departments of the University of Milan. The course called "LCA Expert", now in its third edition, is dedicated to training the technicians of companies interested in developing LCA projects by creating an internal area of specific expertise on this tool.

This first positive experience allowed universities and companies to meet and spontaneously gave rise to the request to create an associative structure with the aim of having a constant reference in providing support for the development of LCA studies and the publication of EPDs.
